Actively pursue improvements within the module, in Safety, GMP and productivity performance. Involves shift operation covering a wide variety of processes, procedures and equipment for the production of a range of health care products for different markets.
*Work safely in line with behavioural safety principles
*Compliance with PPE requirements
*Keep workstations, machine tools and area clean and tidy.
*Spot potential hazards and report promptly to production leader and via APR system.
*Assist in safety risk assessments.
*Comply with the 10 rules of GMP.
*Ensure the job is carried out to right first time principles.
*Ensure documentation (manufacturing information sheets, intervention logs, drawing systems etc.) and process checks are completed to required standards.
*Co-operate and communicate with colleagues, supervision and support groups.
*Communicate with colleagues and team leaders at shift handover to ensure any problems are left with full explanations.
*Continuously develop knowledge and skills to meet business priorities as communicated by the management team.
*To participate in training and ensure that all training is applied effectively.
*Ensure your own training file is kept up to date.
*Carry out additional duties/projects as requested.
*Contribute to and support continuous improvement initiatives.
*Carry out maintenance and refurbishment of machine in accordance with the asset care programme set out for each of the machines.
*Carry out Preventative Maintenance checks on Equipment as requested.
Knowledge & Skills
*Experience of working shifts
*Time served Toolmaker. City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
*GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
*Computer literate in Word and Excel desirable
*Experience of working within a manufacturing environment is strongly essential
*Confident interpersonal skills
*Able to make decisions independently, demonstrating a structured thorough process.
*Experience in deep draw transfer press (Platarg and/or Bruderer) work is essential.
