Role Overview

As a member of a committed and professional maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, including schedule routine preventative maintenance duties and also reactive fault diagnosis and repair on a wide range of mechanical, electronic and electrical equipment.
The Systems Technician role is responsible for a wide range of activities to ensure the Toll Road continues to operate and maximum throughput capacity and at the highest quality. As part of a small team the role will be required to work on a shift rotation basis inclusive of weekend and emergency call-out rostering.
The Systems Technician provides a front line service to both the business and at times, to customers. Therefore, the ability to advise all personnel and customers on technical issues via email, phone or face-to-face, requires the successful candidate to have good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities duties will be as follows;

Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone and email as appropriate
Perform routine preventative maintenance activities including calibration checks, equipment inspections, security inspections, generator maintenance
Fault diagnosis and repair including first line fault and resolution (80% target), workshop spares, repairs & maintenance activities
Maintenance of a Records and Electronic Assets database including defect reporting, shift reporting and inventory checklists
Project related work including installations, modifications, commissioning and testing of new systems.

Role requirements

Two to five years of hands-on experience working in an electro-mechanical environment in a maintenance capacity.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication


HNC/ HND Electronics or working towards certification
City & Guilds in an electronic, electrical or mechanical discipline
17th Edition or 18th Edition certified
CCTV Installation or configuration experience
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
