This position is responsible for the profitable promotion of the Industrial Business Groups product portfolio in the specified region of the UK, selling into our Rail / Automotive customers. Candidates need to have worked in a strategic key account sales role with proven demonstrable knowledge of the Industrial rail or automotive and Aerospace industries and their closely aligned markets.
Integral to this role is the development and building of new and existing relationships with Key end users in the region. You will actively promote and specify the product range with key stakeholders to a technical level, an industrial / solution based sales experience is strongly preferred and compulsory to this is experience in the Rail/Transport industry.
*Primary purpose is to grow sales of the products into designated accounts
*Identify and develop key opportunities for growth and develop appropriate strategies and objectives to exploit these opportunities
*Develop clear understanding of the accounts and key influencers and work with these key decision makers at all levels to develop the relationships necessary to help grow the business
*Manage the margin and pricing requirements in line with the business expectations and negotiate directly with key decision makers to agree pricing and other relevant commercial terms as required
*Engage the channel manager to build the relationship with key channel partner reps into designated accounts with agreed business plans, promotional activities, joint working and end user support
*Ensure regular trials of new products and achieve sales results to meet /exceed new product introduction sales targets
*To utilise the specialist, technical, marketing & management support available
*Maintain Salesforce.com (accounts, activities, opportunities, profiles, contacts).
Experience and Key Capabilities
*Proven demonstrable knowledge of the Industrial rail / automotive / Aerospace MRO market requirements and closely aligned markets.
*Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both externally and internally and proficient with analysis and manipulation of data.
*Proficient in use of IT tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
*Strong communication and presentation skills - written and verbal.

*Tenacious, resilient - ability to navigate through conflict and challenges towards positive outcome, retaining focus and perspective.
*Drive and Energy with a passion for sales and exceeding targets.
*Proven ability to develop technical product knowledge
*Degree educated or equivalent
*Industrial / Technical sales experience strongly preferred
*Experience compulsory in the Rail / Automotive industry
