Continuous Improvement Engineer

I have an exciting opportunity based in Loughborough for a Continuous Improvement Engineer. Working for an innovative, diverse and ethical company with customers all around the world the successful candidate will have a strong background in continuous improvement and track record in driving efficiency.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a technical team focused on marketed product support, new product introduction and continuous improvement activities for Pharmaceutical products. The role will involve interaction with internal manufacturing, logistics and technical colleagues and some interaction with customers/suppliers. You will be expected to set clear standards and lead by example when working with internal and external contacts

Job Description
We are currently looking for a new Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Manufacturing Technology Department based at our Health Care Manufacturing Site located in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

Job Responsibilities
*Partake in the technical activities of the MT Team to ensure technical development of manufacturing/packaging processes.
*Further develop product and process understanding for the value stream manufacturing/packaging processes.
*Provide ongoing technical support for the process and equipment, including training, troubleshooting, continuous improvement projects, annual product reviews, and documentation updates etc
*Prepare and execute Validation Master Plans, Process Optimisation Studies, Process Validation and Cleaning Validation documents
*Implementation of lean principles in manufacturing and packaging environments.
*Support the lead Project Engineer during FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning phases
*Champion continuous process improvement within the production teams.

Knowledge & Skills
*Experience in GMP within a contract manufacturing environment of the Drug Product industry or other regulated environment is desired
*Lean Six Sigma Green Belt trained is preferred but not essential
*Statistical sampling techniques (e.g. AQLs)
*Process optimisation techniques e.g. Design of Experiments
*Equipment qualification and process validation
*Continuous Improvement techniques including Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma concepts
*Introduction of new equipment and processes
*Drug Product Quality Systems and GMPs for EU, US and ROW, Orange Guide
