Work tasks are likely to encompass concepts within multiple disciplines/practices which may include more than one department/location. Working tasks might include:
*Purchases goods and services from vendors based on fairly broad parameters.
*Identifies alternative Sources of Supply (SOS) as required for price and risk mitigation strategies. Drives the validation of alternatives with guidance from supervisor or COE as needed.
*Negotiates price, quantity, quality, and time schedule in order to meet requestors' needs.
*May prepare purchase orders based on broadly defined requisitions, analyzes quotations received, and oversees the purchase order to completion.
*Assists in developing sourcing plans in assigned market/product area with Category Leads and Business Sourcing Managers in the COE.
*May assist and/or influence others in buying, developing specifications or Statements of Work (SOWs), or selecting sources.
*Handles material rejects, delivery or transportation problems, and invoice discrepancies.
*Responsible for contract administration and execution through analysis of performance against contract and verification of contract rebate awards.
*Responsible for minimizing total product and process cost by participating in cost reduction efforts.
*Works with supplier to determine root cause of purchase order and/or payment issues; develops and implements solutions.
*Responsible for Accounts Payable General Ledger reconciliation.
*Leads Sourcing compliance activities.
*Initiates actions to lead projects, beginning to link project steps to business strategies. Projects are usually short term with specific results expected, and occasionally broadly defined results. Ensures project objectives and deadlines are met. Presents project recommendations to appropriate personnel that demonstrate sound planning in support of business needs and goals.
*A Bachelor level university/college degree is generally required. (Desirable)
*GCSE or equivalent in English and Math (Essential)
*Work experience in similar field. (Desirable)
*Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills. (Essential)
*Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint. (Essential)
*Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Sourcing/Procurement practices. (Desirable)
*Knowledge of SAP and processes; STP, FTS, LEX, MTD. (Desirable)
