You will be tasked to create the appropriate commercial environment in which to develop, pursue and capture opportunities for our range of disruptive Advanced Materials technologies within the Oil & Gas, Automotive, Aerospace and Defence sectors.
*Identification of new business opportunities for our range of technical ceramic technologies within the Oil & Gas, Automotive, Aerospace and Defence sectors
*Strong key account management and relationship development with existing account base in order to maximise growth potential
*Identification and monitoring of market trends, opportunities and risks within the target market sectors.
*Development of technology and product roadmap for new products and applications across the technical ceramics range within the target market sectors.
Knowledge & Skills
*Strong background of specification-driven selling within a highly technical, materials science business.
*Deep knowledge and understanding of at least two of our key target markets: Oil & Gas, Automotive, Aerospace and Defence.
*Minimum 3 years' experience within a similar high-tech, Business Development role.
*Knowledge of Technical Ceramics technologies or similar materials.
*Excellent interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to form strong relationships with internal and external customers/stakeholders
*Good knowledge of CRM systems. Salesforce.com desirable.
*Qualifications Degree level education required preferable in a Technical/Engineering subject; Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar materials science.
*Self-driven and open with a positive, winning mentality and experience within highly technical and cross-cultural business environments.
*A Customer First mind-set with a passion for materials science and helping customers to innovate and develop cutting edge technologies.
