I am currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant, working for one of the UK's largest Energy Business Groups in the wake of a successful acquisition.

I currently have two positions available, the main purpose of one role being the accurate and timely production of the working capital reconciliations, including control and analysis of the bad debt provision and switching the site commissions. The purpose of the other role is to assist more in the production of the financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

Both roles will also assist in production of the monthly management accounts and embedding the processes and controls from the acquired business into our business, applicants will be initially considered for both.

Some responsibilities include:
*Maintain all of the working capital reconciliations, including bank, debtors, prepayments and accruals, ensuring they accurately reflect operational systems with any differences clearly explained highlighting any control or operational risk
*Ensure the acquired business and the bad debt provision is appropriately assessed and calculated in line with agreed accounting policies and reflected with a clear audit trail within the monthly management accounts
*Ensure switching site commission is accurately calculated and maintained with full support for prepayment balances
*Assist in the accurate and timely production of the gross margin and expenses with analysis and explanations for key variances to budget or forecast.
*Assist Financial Controller in transferring and embedding the processes and controls over from the acquired business to ourselves
*Provide support in the reconciliation of trade statements on a daily basis to ensure that the trade values are correct.
*Assist in the budget and the forecasting process to produce the final budgets for the acquired business.

Key Requirements:
*Studying towards Professional Accounting Qualification or similar
*Excellent command of written and spoken English
*Excellent IT skills demonstrated competence in office and packages
*Experience in a Finance department/role is necessary
*Experience in a similar banking or credit control role would be desirable
*Experience within Energy/Utilities
