3rd Line Support - BAU Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

The role:

* Providing technical diagnosis and resolution of any incident placed into the infrastructure queue;
* Where the skills of the infrastructure engineer permits, resolution of any incident;
* Accurate updates to any calls within the IT Service Management System;
* Effective and professional communication skills (verbal and written) with the user in call handling and in updates to the ITSMS;
* Establishing priorities with the user when a request for service is placed in line with the defined priority statements;
* Validating any Service Request raised via the Service Desk or other triaged from another resolver
* Escalating and updating the client Customer Service Account Manager and the client's Infrastructure Manager if related to a P1 or P2 incident;
* To be considered, professional and objective at all times.
* Effective call closure with the user at point of resolution
* BAU tasks

The package:

The person:

You will require the following skills:
* Verbal and written communications
* Microsoft Server 2012 / 2016 in both on-premise and hosted in Azure*
* Microsoft Office 365 Administration
* Mimecast Administration*
* Backup technologies - Veritas Netbackup, Microsoft Azure Backup*
* Anti-Virus - Trend (cloud, server and endpoint)*
* Microsoft Windows 10 Desktop and associated Microsoft Office 365 Pro Plus
*training will be provided specifically on these products if required
