Working as a 3rd Line Engineer for a reputable and well-known Service Provider in Chester, you will be responsible for dealing with all 3rd line queries and you will assist in delivering personable and professional customer support.
The day-to-day activities for the 3rd Line Systems Engineer will include the monitoring, performance, support, administration, projects and capacity management of all live services to ensure that SLA, performance and availability targets are met. The role will be an ever evolving one with huge opportunity to specialise and excel in infrastructure and cloud services as the 3rd Line team is built out.
-Supporting and maintaining various infrastructures to ensure systems are stable and operating within established performance thresholds
-Working with the Engineering/Projects team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise
-Assisting 2nd Line Service Desk teams with incident diagnosis and fault resolution (escalation point)
-Supporting users via phone, remote control and site visits
-Deploying all technologies in strict accordance with the company's agreed best practices and the project management framework at all times
-To be proactive, innovative and to take clear ownership for areas of responsibility
-Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016
-Hyper-V and/or VMware
-Networking, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs and routing
-Azure - Azure AD - Data Centres (desirable)
