ECS Resource Group are recruiting for a Field Based 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer to work for a growing IT Managed Service Provider. You will be responsible for attending client sites troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing various faults ranging from PC / Server based hardware and software issues, network faults, routing and firewall problems and Active Directory / MS Exchange issues.

Salary and Benefits
The Support Engineer will receive a competitive salary of: up to £30,000 (depending on skills and experience). You will also receive a company phone, laptop and car. The Role
The Support Engineer will travel within 2 hours of the client's office based just outside of Basingstoke. Your role will be very varied as you visit each site, you will spend the majority of your time with customers, so a positive and outgoing personality is essential. This role will require some out of hours cover, and for the successful candidate to be part of our out of hours' standby rota, along with other support team staff.

Duties
*Taking part in installations and commissioning of new systems at customer premises.
*Managing customer issues, expectations and communicating effectively.
*Maintaining and updating site and engineers work records.
*Diagnosing and rectifying customer faults via both site visits and remotely.

Previous Experience
*Experience working as a Support Engineer at 2nd/3rd Line Level
*Desktop support experience
*Strong Microsoft Server experience
*Understanding of Networking routing, TCP/IP and WAN/LAN technologies.
*Managed Service background advantageous
*VMWare experience highly desirable
