I am looking for an immediately available and experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer, preferably with experience within a data centre environment.

This role has become available due to the continuing rapid growth of the company. You will be involved with a variety of service desk, desktop, telephone, remote, onsite and client facing support and you will be given many opportunities to get involved with a wide range of IT work.

You must possess excellent customer service and quality management skills, equipped with the passion, resources and commercial insight to help achieve them. In return, you will be working with a wide range of technologies as part of a friendly and dedicated team, in a great, rewarding environment.

You should have experience of working in a dynamic environment, requiring constant updating of knowledge in both the technical and procedural aspects of the job.

The Role

*You will be expected to provide 1st through to 2nd line technical support to assist and resolve tickets that are logged with the service desk and act as a point of escalation for more challenging issues.
*Ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner to meet and exceed defined SLA's.
*Accurately log incidents and ensure all relevant data including accurate time stamps and status' are recorded throughout the life cycle of the ticket (Issue, Action, Outcome).
*Respond and manage tickets accurately and provide end users with a technical solution within the customers SLA. Keeping users regularly updated throughout the life cycle of the Incident/Problem.

*Installation and Administration of Microsoft Server 2008 / 2012,
*Installation and Administration of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Polices, DNS, DHCP, WSUS
*Experience installing, managing and supporting Windows 7 / 8 /10, Office 2010 / 2013 / 2016,
*Networking knowledge covering LAN and WAN technologies
*Systems and performance monitoring i.e PTRG, ConnectWise, SolarWinds
*Backup Monitoring and alerting
*Administrator of Virtualization software such as HyperV, VMWare or Nutanix
*Experience supporting a Citrix XenApp farm administration

Technical Knowledge Desirable

*Networking (Firewalls / Switches / Routers) configuration, upgrade and support
*SAN and Storage knowledge
*Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS and Nutanix
*Experience of working in a Data Centre environment
*Support of windows applications and vendors such as Adobe, Sage, Microsoft, MacAfee and Sophos
